Fjelltun Camping is located just 200 metres from the fjord. When the cruiseships are anchoring right outside Homlong you can even get the feeling of being onboard the ships yourself!
If you want to get close to the cruise ships; experience the rushing sound of the waterfalls or maybe try the fishing luck, we've got our own floating stage with the possibility to rent a boat. You can also rent fishing equipment.
Fjelltun Camping is also friendly to children. We've got an own trampoline and playground that our guests can use for free, and since we haven't got any through-traffic the children can play safely at the camping site.
Fjelltun Camping is located at idyllic Homlong, about 2 kilometres or 5 minutes drive from the centre of Geiranger. We're offering cabins and apartments for rent, and it is also possible to set up a tent at our tentspace. In our café, where we also have outdoor serving, you can buy "dinner of the day", cakes, ice cream and coffee. We also serve beer and wine.
The famous tourist place Geiranger is located in the north-western part of Norway, about 1 1/2 hours from Ålesund (35.000 inhabitants). Geiranger is known all over the world for it's uniqe fjord, surrounded by the majestic mountains and beutiful waterfalls. Because of the gorgeous nature and the many cultural monuments, the Geirangerfjord and the surrounding areas was listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in the summer of 2005.
Fjelltun Camping is an ideal starting point for all experiences and activities that Geiranger can offer. The paths to the famous walking trips to Homlongsetra (about 1 and 1/2 hours walk) and Skageflå (about 2 hours walk) starts by the camping site. You also have the possibility to take longer trips, e.g. Skagedalen (about 5 hours walk). And the distance to the centre of Geiranger with its eating places, souvenir shops and crowds of tourist is also short.
From Fjelltun Camping it is also possible to go to other famous tourist places, e.g. Ålesund (about 1 and 1/2 hours), Molde (about 1 and 1/2 hours), Åndalsnes with Trollstigen (about 1 and 1/2 hours) and Stryn (about 1 hour).
Doesen't a day in the Atlantic Sea Park in Ålesund, or skiing mid-summer in the Strynefjellet glacier sound tempting?
